Ronald F. Brot Named a 2019 “Person of the Year” by Metropolitan News-Enterprise
Founder and Senior Partner Ronald F. Brot was among three law professionals awarded 2019 “Person of the Year” by Metropolitan News-Enterprise (MetNews). Since 1983, MetNews has designated members of the legal community as “Persons of the Year” who contributed an extraordinary amount to the betterment of our justice system.
MetNews Co-Publisher Jo-Ann W. Grace noted, “With tact, inventiveness, and spirit, Brot is continuing and building upon the wise reform efforts of his immediate predecessors as president, Mike Meyer and Brian Kabateck, in the quest to return LACBA to fiscal soundness, responsiveness to members’ needs, and relevancy—and, as they did, he has made huge strides.” Brot was sworn in as the 2019-2020 President of the Los Angeles County Bar Association this past June.
In a highly exclusive event, Brot will join attorney Selma Moidel Smith and Los Angeles Superior Court Presiding Judge Kevin Brazile in accepting their awards at the 32nd annual awards dinner in downtown Los Angeles, with public officials best owing commendations.
For more than 35 years, Brot has successfully represented high-profile and high-net-worth individuals in complex and high-conflict cases from inception through settlement or trial involving all aspects of family law, including child custody, relocation, domestic violence, support, property, complex financial and paternity issues. He co-founded Brot & Gross with Senior Partner Mark P. Gross in 2005, and later added Gary Fishbein in 2019, combining their decades of experience and expertise to launch their own family law practice that is known today for tenacious courtroom advocacy and skilled negotiations throughout Southern California.
