Marriage.com Turns to Ronald F. Brot For Insight on Navigating Divorce or Custody Proceedings While Being Discreet
In an interview with Marriage.com, Partner Ronald F. Brot shares several areas of divorce that many may not be familiar with, including the use of private judges and divorce coaches. Brot explained that one of the key benefits to using a private judge is the ability to schedule hearings or trial without regard to an overly taxed public court system, which is beset by delay. On the subject of divorce coaches, he said, “Divorce coaches are a resource used in a small number of cases to help a party keep perspective on their own feelings, which may cloud decision-making. An experienced divorce coach will help a party respond thoughtfully rather than react emotionally.”
Brot added that a well-drafted prenuptial agreement is crucial in any marriage, but can be especially important for people with generational wealth in order to protect inherited property and trust beneficiary property.
