The first edition of “The Best Lawyers in America” was published in 1983 and, in 2010, “Best Lawyers” partnered with U.S. News & World Report, the leading rankings publication in the U.S., to rank law firms in the United States. Inclusion is based entirely on peer-review. The methodology is designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
